How MotherHelp uses cookies and similar technologies.

1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small pieces of information stored by a website in your browser. Similar technologies can also be used to remember preferences, maintain a secure session, understand how a service is used or support a requested feature.

3. Essential cookies
Essential cookies support functions you have requested or functions needed for security and the operation of the service. They cannot be switched off through the optional analytics control without affecting parts of the website.
4. Functional language preference
MotherHelp can provide a language/translation choice. The preference cookie remembers your selection so you do not have to make the same choice repeatedly. The translation destination may be operated by a third party and may apply its own cookies and privacy rules.
5. Optional analytics
If you enable analytics, MotherHelp may record page views, case shares, referrals and related campaign activity to understand reach and improve the platform. The current implementation uses a random visitor identifier and hashes it with a server-side secret before storing it in traffic records. MotherHelp's traffic system is designed not to store raw IP addresses.
Analytics is not required to browse cases, donate or use the core MotherHelp service. If you decline optional analytics, MotherHelp will not intentionally set the optional analytics visitor cookie from the website interface.
6. Advertising cookies
MotherHelp does not currently operate a targeted advertising-cookie programme. If advertising, remarketing pixels or similar technologies are introduced later, this policy and the cookie choices interface should be updated before those technologies are enabled.
7. Third-party translation
The MotherHelp language selector may send the current public page URL to an external translation service when you actively choose translation. The translated page is subject to the external provider's terms and privacy policy. Do not use external translation for confidential case-management pages or private evidence.
8. Managing your choices
You can choose Essential only or Allow analytics in the MotherHelp cookie banner. You can reopen the settings at any time using the Cookie settings button in the footer.
9. Browser controls
You can also manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent login, protected forms or other parts of MotherHelp from working correctly.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when cookies, analytics, translation services, payment flows or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of the page will be updated when a material change is made.
