Accessibility & inclusive access

MotherHelp is designed so that people with different abilities, devices, literacy levels and connectivity constraints can use the platform as far as reasonably possible.

Our accessibility goal: information should be perceivable, the interface should be operable, content should be understandable and the platform should work reliably with different browsers and assistive technologies. These principles align with the W3C's accessibility framework. Learn about WCAG.

Accessibility tools on MotherHelp

Use the controls below on this device. Your preferences are remembered locally in your browser.

Keyboard access

Interactive controls should be reachable without a mouse. Visible keyboard focus is provided to make the current control easier to identify.

Clear navigation

MotherHelp uses consistent navigation, descriptive links and a skip-to-content control to reduce repeated navigation for keyboard and assistive-technology users.

Aa

Readable content

The site uses headings, lists, labels and straightforward language. Larger text can be enabled above, and pages are designed to reflow on smaller screens.

Color and contrast

Color is not intended to be the only way important information is communicated. A high-contrast mode is available for users who need stronger visual distinction.

Media alternatives

Where MotherHelp uses images or video, we aim to provide meaningful alternative text or surrounding text so the important information is not dependent on seeing the media.

🌐

Language access

A language selector is available for public pages. Because automated translation can contain errors, important case-management information should be checked against the original English version.

📱

People without smartphones

The MotherHelp model does not require the beneficiary to own a smartphone or internet-enabled device. Community agents are intended to bridge this access gap by representing eligible beneficiaries through the platform.

🤝

Human assistance

If a beneficiary cannot comfortably use the website, the community-agent model allows assistance to be coordinated through a trusted person, subject to consent and verification requirements.

Accessibility limitations and feedback

Accessibility is an ongoing process. Some third-party services, payment interfaces, automated translations or older browsers may have limitations outside MotherHelp's direct control.

If you encounter a barrier, tell us what page you were using, what you were trying to do and what made it difficult. Where possible, include your browser/device and the type of assistive technology you were using.
